Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, providing critical insights for the diagnosis of various medical conditions. This role requires professional judgment, technical expertise, and compassionate patient care while ensuring diagnostic image quality and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • * Operate nuclear medicine and related medical equipment to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • * Produce high-quality diagnostic images by selecting proper technical factors tailored to individual patients and specific procedures.
  • * Order, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established best practices and guidelines.
  • * Follow radiation protection and safety policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • * Utilize computer systems (HIS, RIS, PACS) for data processing, accessing, and sharing patient information as required.
  • * Assist in the transportation of patients to and from the imaging department.
  • * Educate patients and their families by providing clear and concise information about the procedure and expectations.
  • * Train and evaluate nuclear medicine and radiology students as part of clinical teaching responsibilities.
  • * Participate in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities to ensure operational excellence.
  • * Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • * Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine or equivalent certification.
  • * Licensure: Licensed by the State of Ohio in Nuclear Medicine.
  • * CPR Certification: Current and valid.
  • * Proven competence in performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
  • * Strong interpersonal, decision-making, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
  • * Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • * Ability to function independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.
  • * Proficient computer skills, with a working knowledge of imaging and clinical information management systems.
