Position Overview
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to oversee HVAC construction projects up to $20M or multiple projects totaling that value. This role demands expertise in construction management, excellent team leadership skills, and the ability to deliver successful project outcomes with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- * Lead construction projects up to $20M or oversee multiple smaller projects with limited supervision.
- * Identify and propose alternative solutions to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- * Manage labor, material, and equipment handling while understanding the nuances of commercial construction logistics.
- * Translate project plans and specifications into actionable strategies and outcomes.
- * Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- * Procure and coordinate subcontractors and equipment vendors.
- * Maintain a presence at job sites to monitor progress, ensuring scope understanding across all disciplines.
- * Establish and track project budgets for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontract costs.
- * Estimate and bid project changes, negotiate vendor pricing, and ensure financial alignment.
- * Direct BIM coordinators to develop shop drawings and collaborate with field teams for planning.
- * Track project schedules, including manpower allocation.
- * Inspect sites for contract compliance, workmanship quality, and safety adherence.
- * Manage fieldwork orders, RFIs, pay applications, change orders, and submittals.
- * Train and delegate tasks to Project Engineers and Interns, fostering skill development.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- * 5-10 years in HVAC construction management.
- * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).
- * Familiarity with Bluebeam software is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
