Salary: $95,000 – $120,000 annually

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse Director - Critical Care to lead a dynamic team, ensuring exceptional patient care and compliance with nursing standards in critical care areas such as CCU, PCU, Telemetry, AIC, and DHU. This leadership role involves collaborating with medical staff, shaping policies and procedures, and driving quality improvement initiatives to uphold excellence in patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • * Ensure adequate staffing levels in line with hospital policies and guidelines.
  • * Establish and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and departmental goals.
  • * Maintain accurate documentation of patient care during hospital stays.
  • * Prepare and monitor annual budgets, addressing variances and financial needs as necessary.
  • * Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to plan and implement performance improvement projects.
  • * Evaluate and recommend new products, equipment, and technologies to enhance care delivery.
  • * Develop care protocols with input from Charge Nurses and staff to standardize and improve care quality.
  • * Conduct monthly staff meetings to set goals and encourage participative decision-making.
  • * Coordinate in-service programs for new equipment, supplies, and procedures to ensure staff competency.
  • * Actively participate in the recruitment and selection of new nursing staff members.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • * Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher required; BSN preferred).
  • * Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice or holding an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • * Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS & ACLS certification.
  • * Minimum of 3+ years of nursing and leadership experience in an ICU within an acute care setting.
  • * Proven leadership and team management skills in a critical care environment.

Nice to Have:

  • * Master’s degree in nursing or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • * Robust background in acute care nursing leadership.

Compensation and Benefits
