Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their dedicated Medical-Surgical team. This role provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being while contributing to a positive and supportive healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • * Patient Care: Administer medication, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments as per the care plan.
  • * Patient Monitoring: Monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and family members.
  • * Daily Living Assistance: Support patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • * Care Planning: Plan, document, and evaluate care to ensure adherence to clinical care standards.
  • * Discharge Coordination: Coordinate patient transfers, discharges, and referrals while addressing spiritual and psychosocial needs.
  • * Patient & Family Education: Provide culturally sensitive education to patients and families based on individual circumstances.
  • * Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, promoting their overall physical and emotional well-being.

Must-Have Qualifications

Licensure: Current RN license for Kentucky or a compact state.

Education: Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained within 45 days of hire).

New Graduate Opportunity: New graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to six months with the expectation of obtaining a full RN license within this timeframe.

  • * Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $68,000–$91,000 annually (based on experience).
