Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled SSA/Virtualization Specialist to lead and manage advanced virtualization projects, ensuring robust operational support for mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in virtualization platforms and IT systems, along with a strong ability to deliver tailored solutions to diverse user groups. This role involves hands-on technical leadership, system troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams to maintain optimal performance of virtualized systems.

Key Responsibilities

• * Plan, lead, and execute virtualization projects, including the installation and configuration of network components.
• * Deliver comprehensive product and service solutions to support mission operations.
• * Conduct regular and integrated system tests on virtualization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• * Prepare detailed reports and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• * Provide on-the-job training for customers and junior personnel as required.
• * Collaborate with field engineers to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• * Perform additional duties as assigned, within the scope of virtualization projects.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• * Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required (willingness to sit for a CI Polygraph).
• * Education/Experience:
• - Bachelor’s degree in System Administration, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in managing and troubleshooting heterogeneous networks.
• - OR 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• * Proficiency in installing and configuring the following:
• - Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
• - Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
• - Microsoft Failover Cluster (current version).
• - Microsoft Hyper-V Manager (current version).
• - Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
• * Expertise in hypervisors, virtualization subsystems, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• * Strong experience with scripting languages (primarily PowerShell) for IT system automation.
• * Advanced troubleshooting skills for resolving escalated technical issues.
• * Knowledge of designing and implementing cloud-based remote access solutions.
• * Proficiency in utilizing Active Directory (AD) groups for resource access control.

Nice to Have:

• * Familiarity with container systems and additional Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $165,000 – $190,000 annually.
